How your key is protected

🔒Encrypted before it leaves your browser. The moment you press send, your key is locked with a key that only our reporting system can open. It never travels or sits anywhere in readable form.
👁Nobody reads it by hand. Not our team, not the website it lands on. It is only ever opened automatically, to check it works and to run your dashboard.
✓Read only in practice. We only pull reporting data. We never send emails, edit, or export your subscribers.
↩Yours to revoke. Delete the key in your platform at any time and our access ends that second. We remove it when we stop working together.

Common questions

Where do I find the key in my platform?: Pick your platform below. We show the exact menu path and link to that platform's own guide.
Is the key read only?: It depends on the platform, and we tell you on each one. Iterable and HubSpot issue read only keys. Mailchimp does if you create it while logged in as a Viewer user. beehiiv, Kit, ActiveCampaign, Campaign Monitor and Sailthru only issue full account keys. Whatever the platform gives, we only ever call read endpoints.
Can you see my subscribers' email addresses?: We pull reporting: opens, clicks, growth, where subscribers came from. We never export lists or contact your readers. On platforms that only issue full account keys the key technically could reach more than that, which is why it is encrypted and only ever opened by our automated reporting, never by a person.
Do you need my login?: No. Never share your password with anyone, including us. A key is all this needs.
I'm on Substack. What do I do?: Substack has no API key. Pick Substack below and we will book a 15 minute call to connect it together.
What if I pasted the wrong key?: We test every key against your platform. If it does not work, your growth manager asks you for a fresh one. Nothing else happens.
Can I revoke it later?: Yes, any time, from the same screen in your platform where you created it. Our access stops that second.
How long do you keep it?: For as long as we work together. When we stop, we delete it.
Who do I ask if something is unclear?: Your growth manager, in your shared Slack channel. They can also send you a fresh link if this one stops working.
